Chicago Williams BBQ

IMG_2469I often had heard of Chicago Williams BBQ and always wanted to try it, so when the opportunity to go showed up, I did not pass.

It’s located in Mitte, a few steps away from U Oranienburger Tor station. The place is very nice, the staff is very friendly and gives good advices, in German or English. I was really looking forward to try the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, but it was sold out when we got there, so I tried their pastrami, something I had never tried before, and it was pretty good. I had some mac and cheese on the side, also quite tasty. Portions are huge. Some of my friends got the ribs, I tried and they’re really good as well. Those who got the bbq chicken, the pulled pork sandwich and coleslaw were also very happy.
They also have nice frozen drinks, I tried their rhum and white coke one, really interesting.

To make it short, a place worth a visit and I do intend to go back there to try other stuffs.

Villa Rodizio

IMG_1026I had often heard about the Brazilian BBQ and always wanted to try it out. Then, I saw an ad for Villa Rodizio in Prenzlauer Berg which had mostly good reviews. Some revierwers pointed it it wasn’t authentical Brazilian Rodizio but still was good.

So as a meat lover, I got the Rodizio formula. For 25€, you get unlimited access to buffet and 10 meats, 1 being a surprise. The buffet is nice if you like salads and vegetable, so little option for me, but I was there for the meat. By the way, they have a all-you-can-eat formula for the buffet for 10€. I tried most of the meats, all IMG_1028delicious, the waiter comes with the meat on a spike and cut it at the table. I passed the lamb and the chorizo. The surprised meat was chicken heart, I also passed. For dessert, there was hot banana with chocolate as well as flambed grilled ananas. It was a very nice experience!

They also serve Argentinian steaks and Mexican food that seemed pretty tasty as well.

Service is very nice, friendly staff, nice terrace, really a good adress.

Albert’s, Bar-BQ and more

88139404_oLast summer I went a couple of times to Albert’s on Karl-Marx-Allee, for their wednesday Bar-BQ which happens no matter what’s the weather like. The 1st time, it was actually raining.

So for 14€ you have access to a big buffet with salads and stuff and to the barbecue, where you can get sausages, poultry, steaks, but also vegetarian stuffs such as feta and vegetables. And there’s also a nice dessert buffet. The food is very tasty and the staff quite friendly, they also have a nice terrace. The drinks are exclusive and they have nice cocktails.

They also do all you can do Ribs, build your own burger, brunches, but I haven’t managed to try those yet.
