Chile in Berlin at La Tía Rica

tia rica (1)La Tía Rica is a chilean restaurant in Wilmersdorf, between Savigny Platz and Ersnt-Reuter-Platz.

On the recommandation of a reader of my French blog, I went to try this restaurant that looked interesting. The place is nice and cosy, the staff is extremely friendly.

The Pisco Sour is brillant, the cheese empanadas very tasty, the entrecôte delicious and the passion fruit mousse quite nice. One of my friend told me their ceviche is one of the best she ever had. Every guest was happy.

Excellent place!

Anna Blume, lovely brunch in Prenzlauer Berg

Anna (1)Anna Blume is a flower shop and a café in Prenzlauer Berg, not too far away from Kulturbrauerei. I have heard so many good things about this place and have been meaning to go for a while. So I went there for a sunny Sunday Brunch, we had to wait a bit to be seated on the lovely terrace but it was worth the wait.

The staff is very friendly and the menu very appetizing. Their raspbery milkshake was very good. I had the Alpenrose plate, with cheese, hams and lots of fruits, great, my friend who had the Anemone was happy with his salmon and shrimps and stuffs. 2 of my friends had one of their speciality, a breakfast composition with a beautiful presentation on a “plate tree” with several tiers. Some also tried their cakes which are apparently very good.

12 Apostel (Mitte), classy Italian restaurant

Apostel (3)I recently went to 12 Apostel with a few friends and had no idea what to expect, they only told me it was a good Italian restaurant. It is indeed.

They have two locations, we went to the one in Mitte, close to S Friedrichsstraße. There’s also a tram stop just right in front of the restaurant: Georgenstr/Am Kupfergraben (lines M1 and 12). They have a nice terrace, the inside is huge and lovely, the staff is very friendly and the service not too long.

I had a very nice Mai Tai to start with, quite refreshing, then I tried their beef carpaccio, wonderful! The pizzas are huge, thin crust, cooked in wood oven and you can see they’re hand crafted. I had the Simon with goat cheese and spicy salami, delicious.
The only negative point is that it is quite expensive, at least for Berlin standards, but can be a nice treat once in a while.

Warschauer Pakt

warschauer pakt (1)I recently attended a seminar very close to S Warschauer Straße, our “lunch” break was at 11:15 a.m., so I went a couple of times to Warschauer Pakt, a nice café nearby, for a big breakfast.

The staff is very friendly, the place is kinda cosy, I had the breakfast plate with cold cuts and cheese, it was very nice, as well as the Bauernfrühstück (omelett with bacon, potatoes and onions). Their home made cookies are also a hit.

Fährblick, Sassnitz, Germany

IMG_3295For my last diner in Sassnitz before leaving Rügen, I went to Fährblick and sat on their terrace, facing the sea. The view is amazing! I first had a vodka with cranberry juice, I loved that they served it in a cocktail glass, almost a cosmopolitan!

I then had an argentinian beef steak, meat was good quality but it was cooked well, I prefer it rare, they actually did not ask and I did not realise it right away. But if a steak still is tasty even cooked well, it means the meat is good.

Service is friendly and quick. Prices are reasonnable.
